If you've ever played any games made by squaresoft, then you've probably seen a chocobo before. They are in almost every Final Fantasy game as well as some others, such as in Parasite Eve there is a poster of a chocobo in the game. In FF7 you can actually race them which is pretty phat. You probably came to this part of my site to see how you can get a gold chocobo. The easy way, sort of, is to beat the Ruby Weapon and go talk to the Kalm Traveler and give him the desert rose you got from the Ruby Weapon. That'll only give you a really slow chocobo. It only goes like 25 mph when you first get it. So here's the hard way, but it is the chocobo will be much faster.
Here is just a quick version of what you have to do. If you have
any problems then, um, ask someone else.
-Buy all 6 stalls at the chocobo farm.
-Get two Great Chocobos from the area around Mideel of the opposite sex, and raise them in the races to at least the A Rank. If you can, get them to S Rank
-Steal a carob nut from that dragon-like monster that can be found on that little strip of land near Bone Village.
-Use the carob nut to breed the two chocobos so that you have to get either a Green or Blue Chocobo.
-Release the two yellow chocobos that you have and then repeat steps 2-4 and get a chocobo of the opposite color and opposite sex. (e.g.-If you have a blue female then you need a green male.)
-Raise the Green and Blue Chocobos to A or S Rank.
-Steal another carob nut and breed the Green and Blue Chocobos with it. You should get a black chocobo after a few tries.
-Get a Wonderful Chocobo from the Northern Continent.
-Raise the Black and Wonderful Chocobos to the S Rank.
-Steal a Zeio nut from the Goblins from Goblin Island (It is an island in the upper-right corner of the worldmap.)
-Use the Zeio Nut to Breed the Black and Wonderful Chocobo until you get a Gold Chocobo. (This Can take alot of tries until you actually get one.)
